The 20th and latest edition of POLAND. INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC REPORT 2004/2005 has just
appeared. The report includes analyses and reliable, up-to-date information on the
condition of the Polish economy against the background of the global economy and forecasts
for economic growth in 2005.
This year’s report examines problems that are far more complex
and difficult than in previous years. This is due to the latest political and economic
developments in both Poland and around the world.
The report’s authors, as in previous years, predominantly include employees of the World
Economy Research Institute and other research units of the Warsaw School of Economics,
aided by contributors from other scientific institutions, the economic administration and
the business community. Hopefully, the wide spectrum of views presented by the authors
will attract a large audience and meet with its interest.
Since it was first published 20 years ago, the report has won
wide recognition among both foreign readers and Polish institutions, organizations,
businesses and individuals participating in various forms of international cooperation. We
hope this new edition will attract your attention.
